Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Covered Peppermint Joe Joe’s

Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Covered Peppermint Joe Joe’s review. Pure crack! Stay away from these! Unless you love peppermint, dark chocolate and cookies! Trader Joe’s is on a mission to dip everything they have in the store in Dark Chocolate! I swear they are. Next thing we’ll have pizza dipped in Dark Chocolate. How about Dark Chocolate wine? They are pure evil Genius at Trader Joe’s headquarters!

Ok, what in the world is going on here? Simply, they took a really good thing, Trader Joe’s Peppermint Joe Joe’s and dipped them in Dark Chocolate and sprinkled them with ground up candy canes. I’ve not seen these before this year, but then I wasn’t really looking for them last year. Writing this blog has made my hyper aware when these things come on the shelf and when I saw these, I grabbed a box and ran home to have the whole family taste test them.

What’s in the box? There are about 10 servings per box, but that means you only get 10 cookies. But do you really need more than that? There is 150 calories per cookie! Yikes! Good thing they only put 10 in a box, otherwise you might die from eating too many of these in one sitting. They are that good!

First the peppermint Joe Joe is good enough on it’s own. The dark chocolate balances out the peppermint in a nice way and then having another shot of peppermint at the end with the crushed pieces of candy canes covering the outside is a great way to dress these cookies up and give it another shot of peppermint. The peppermint is nicely balanced against the smoldering richness of the dark chocolate. Trader Joe’s continues to outdo themselves with these things. I love dark chocolate and for all I care they could dip half the store in dark chocolate and I would be a happy person!

These would be great to bring to set out at a party and watch your guests go nuts. Don’t tell them you bought them at Trader Joe’s and have them guess where you got them. Say you got them at the local Chocolatier. I guess the next step would be to dip them in batter and deep fry them! That would rate a 10 in my book. Serve them with the crack-like Peppermint Pretzel Slims and you have a winning combination.

I am going to rate them 9 Bells! Get them while you can and stockpile them for after the holidays!
