It’s pumpkinpalooza season at Trader Joe’s here in September when they release all their pumpkiny goodness. Not to be outdone by Starbucks, Trader Joe’s released their annual Pumpkin Spice Coffee again this year. One of the most anticipated of the pumpkin products to come out every year.

If you are like millions of other Americans when you were a child you ate bags of Dorito chips. We would ride our bikes to the grocery store a couple of miles away and get cans of Coke and a bag of Taco Flavor Doritos. Mexican food was not on every street corner where I grew up on the East Coast like it is now. Sure there was Taco Bell and mom made those crispy Old El Paso taco kits you got at Safeway but that was the extent of our exposure to real Mexican food. Until I moved to the west coast as an adult did I really understand how interesting and diverse it can be.

Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Pancakes
Cauliflower this, Cauliflower that! What else can make out of Cauliflower? How can we cater to our gluten-free friends? I would love to be a cauliflower farmer right now their profits must be sky high! Trader Joe’s has fallen in love with cauliflower (as has most of the United States it seems). They are putting it in everything from pizza crusts to fried rice to gnocchi. What’s next? cauliflower ice cream? Cookie butter flavored cauliflower cookies?
