Trader Joe’s Kung Pao Chicken

Trader Joe’s Kung Pao Chicken Review – I love what Trader Joe’s has been doing with all these frozen Asian meals lately. Generally, I have found them all to be pretty decent meals and easy to prepare and fairly healthy for you, except the most popular food item in Trader Joe’s the Mandarin Orange Chicken which is essentially fried chicken bits with a sweet, spicy orange sauce on them. I can see why it’s super popular, but not much in the foodie realm for my tastes.

Trader Joe’s Seasoned Waffle Cut Fries Review

Trader Joe’s Waffle Fries

Sometimes Trader Joe’s does cutting edge foods, like Organic Raw Pumpkin Vinegar or Vegan Cheddar Slices made with cashews, and then sometimes they go old school and go with waffle fries(!). Don’t get me wrong. I love Waffle Fries like most Americans do, but honestly, Trader Joe’s could’ve released this product like 10 years ago and it would’ve been a smash hit. I’m not so sure what took them so long, but here we are.

Trader Joe’s Jamaican Style Beef Patties Review

Trader Joe's Jamaican Style Beef Patties

Trader Joe’s Jamaican Style Beef Patties

I love Jamaican food when I can get it. I’ve had beef patties on several occasions and always love them. Jamaican food is an amalgamation of several different regions’ foods that were all thrown together from slave trading and later British rule. There are cuisines from Africa and also from India and British/Irish foods. There are curries and soups that are highly spiced. One of the mainstays of Jamaican cuisine is the “Jamaican Patty”. The Jamaican Patty is a pastry that is folded over while usually being filled with beef. You can get them filled with all sorts of different meats and seafood and even vegetables but for the vast majority, it’s just ground beef.

Trader Joe’s Cod Provencale

Trader Joe’s Cod Provençale with Ratatouille and Rice Review – I put this frozen seafood dish in the same category as Trader Joe’s Chicken Teriyaki, they have been selling it for decades (well, it seems like it) and I kept walking by it for years without picking it up and in an effort to explore every part of the store, I picked this up for lunch the other day.

Trader Joe’s Bulgogi Beef Fried Rice With Kimchi Review

Trader Joe’s Bulgogi Beef Fried Rice

Trader Joe’s Bulgogi Beef Fried Rice With Kimchi Review – As I have mentioned many times on this blog, I love most Asian food and Trader Joe’s has a lot to choose from. I am very happy to see a new fried rice product.

These are cheap and easy meals that I can make in a few minutes that have a lot of flavors. They can also serve as a side dish for a bigger family meal. I mostly have a ready supply of several different frozen fried rice products from Trader Joe’s in the freezer that I mostly make for a quick lunch.

Trader Joe's Fried Olive Bites

Trader Joe’s Fried Olive Bites

Trader Joe’s Fried Olive Bites Review – I love olives. I think it’s my Mediterranean heritage (Croatia and Italy) that has genetically pre-disposed me to love them. I love the briny tang of olives in food.

I think we go through at least a gallon of Trader Joe’s Spanish Olive Oil every month. We eat a ton of Kalamata olives. Needless to say, we eat a lot of olive products and Trader Joe’s has been delivering on that promise since the day they opened.
