Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Greek Nonfat Yogurt, I wasn’t expecting much from this yogurt. It’s October now and we’ve had a month of pumpkin spice flavored products inundating our senses every time we walk into a Trader Joe’s. I almost passed this one up because it was put in next to all the other yogurts and just kind of blended in. But I spied it with all the other yogurts so in the spirit of the season, grabbed a couple to eat for breakfast the next day.
I am a big fan of Greek styled non-fat yogurt, well actually any amount of fat is OK with me. But I tried this the next morning and I thought I was having desert after Thanksgiving dinner. It tasted exactly like pumpkin pie! I was shocked. The spices and flavors perfectly meld together for decadent flavor. I’ll be buying a lot more of this.
When I finished, I thought it would make an excellent pumpkin pie and you don’t need to add any spices. There are a lot of yogurt based pumpkin pie recipes out there and I just adapted this one.
