Fall Season is in full swing, and Trader Joe’s has once again rolled out their beloved pumpkin-themed limited time seasonal items! If you’re avoiding gluten, there’s no need to miss out on the festivities. It’s that time of year and we’ve curated a list of the top 10 gluten-free pumpkin products you must try this year (and a couple to avoid). Some of them are new products and some are oldies:
Here are ten Gluten Free products I really like from Trader Joe’s this fall (Bonus material at the end, 3 products I did not like). Not all of these products have real pumpkin in them, some just have the seasonal pumpkin spice flavor we associate with this season, but they are all Gluten Free!
1. Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pumpkin Ravioli:
This is one of my favorite things that Trader Joe’s sells that’s a pumpkin filled product that just happens to be gluten-free. Fun fall colors for pasta and easy to make. Just saute in some butter and herbs and voila an easy gluten-free dinner.
Honestly, I thought this was one of the best gluten-free pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The flavors were spot on and the ravioli pasta was very similar to wheat pasta. Ravioli is also more about sauces than the actual pasta and filling. A spicy Arrabbiata sauce would wipe out any flavors in the ravioli. If you want the pumpkin flavors to shine, keep it simple with some butter and sage.
Having said all that, I think the Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pumpkin Ravioli stands up to regular pasta on its own and I could easily see myself serving this to friends and family.
2. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Cream Liqueur:
Some people rave about this liqueur. I found it was just okay, but it is one of the most popular pumpkin spice flavor products that Trader Joe’s sells. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Cream Liqueur is a delightful ode to the flavors of fall. It’s a must-try for pumpkin spice aficionados and even skeptics might find themselves pleasantly surprised. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a mixer, it encapsulates the essence of autumn in a bottle.
3. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Coffee:
Perfect to make your Pumpkin Spice Latte. Put a little Pumpkin Spice Liqeuer in your coffee and maybe some oat milk and you are set! I thought this made a decent cup of coffee and the pumpkin spice wasn’t over the top. The medium roast is just right.
4. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread:
This is honestly one of my favorite pumpkin flavored and gluten free products at Trader Joe’s. I buy several tubs of Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese spread when they release it every September because it is simply delicious. Not too over the top with the pumpkin spice flavors and not too sweet. Just perfect!
5. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bisque:
Warm up on those chilly fall evenings with this rich, gluten-free pumpkin soup. It’s creamy, savory, and has just the right hint of spices. If you really like your soup to taste like pumpkin pie spices in a rich, heavy, and creamy soup then this might be for you!
6. Trader Joe’s Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pancake Mix:
Breakfast just got better! This has got to be one of Trader Joe’s best pumpkin products. Full of seasonal flavor. These fluffy pumpkin pancakes are sure to become a morning favorite, boasting warm autumnal spices. Make it extra special by putting some chocolate chips in the mix. Easy to make and a hit with the kids. Easily one of Trader Joe’s best pumpkin flavored products year after year. I would eat it all year of they sold it.
7. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark:
Start your day with a crunchy, sweet, and slightly salty granola mix. It pairs well with yogurt or can be enjoyed as a snack straight from the bag. Lots of pumpkin seeds and whole grains in this product. This also makes a great snack
8. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin O’s Cereal:
Another great Trader Joe’s fall food. This contains actual pumpkins! I wouldn’t call Trader Joe’s Pumpkin O’s the healthiest food they sell. The upside is that Trader Joe’s Pumpkin O’s are gluten free and vegan and they taste absolutely wonderful. I was eating handfuls right out of the box. They are a little high in sugar so just be careful there but my god these tasted great!
9. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Flavored Dog Treats:
Let’s not forget our furry friends! These gluten-free dog treats are a great way to get your pet in on the pumpkin fun. If you didn’t know this, canned pumpkin is great for dogs and my dog absolutely loves it! I only put a dollop on her food as a treat. Trader Joe’s also has many seasonal dog treats that have gluten and don’t have gluten (mostly meat).
10. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Ice Cream:
I thought that Trader Joe’s pumpkin ice was wonderful. It’s ice cream so it’s going to be sweet, but the mix of pumpkin spice and real pumpkin in the ice cream makes for a wonder flavor on it’s own. I hate when companies go overboard on the pumpkin spice flavor and Trader Joe’s did a wonderful job putting this pumpkin spice flavored ice cream together!
Whether you’re a dedicated pumpkin enthusiast, have celiac disease or just looking to explore a gluten-free diet, or are just interested in some seasonal gluten-free options, Trader Joe’s products have got you covered. Head on down and stock up on these delicious items while they last. Happy pumpkin season!
Bonus Material. Stay away from these Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pumpkin Products:
- Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Tortilla Chips: Not everything Gluten Free is worth eating. I thought these were awful. Definitely not my favorite thing.
- Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pumpkin Bagels: Yuck. Nothing good about these bagels. They are gummy and too much pumpkin spice flavor.
- Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Baking Mix: This was over the top with sugar and gingerbread flavors. It was a crumbly mess and I took one bite and threw the whole thing away. There are better ways to enjoy gluten free pumpkin products this time of year.
