Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Pancake Review – First of all, I want to say it’s a good day to be a cauliflower farmer. Trader Joe’s must sell about 50% of the USA’s consumption of cauliflower. It’s the new miracle food, as far as they are concerned. It was Kale before and broccoli before that, but if they could make cauliflower ice cream, I’m sure they would.
As we roll into the cooler and darker days of Autumn, cookie baking season starts anew. Growing up my mother would spend part of her weekend baking a variety of cookies and one of the most common ones was sugar cookies. They bring back such fond memories… Trader Joe’s is being extra helpful in selling us this ready to bake cookie dough. Let me walk you through how to use this product. Update: I am getting a lot of negative remarks about these cookies. I am wondering if there is batch difference. I will pick up another tube and re-test this week.
Just in time for the Holiday Season, Trader Joe’s has released their seasonal Egg Nog Liqueur again. This highly popular egg nog drink is very popular in the winter time and Eggnog or Egg Nog, it doesn’t make much of a difference, it all tastes the same. Eggnog the drink is a very old drink according to Wikipedia. It’s been around for hundreds of years. The main ingredients for traditional eggnog are milk, eggs, liquor (spirits), and spices. It’s a drink that has been served around Christmas time for as long as the United States has been around and probably earlier in England. Let’s just say it’s a tradition that has been going back a very long time. Trader Joe’s isn’t one to pass up traditions so here we have a very traditional eggnog, I’m sorry Egg Nog as Trader Joe’s likes to spell it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Trader Joe’s Kung Pao Chicken Mochi Balls Review – Ask anyone that knows me and they will tell you I am a freak for Asian foods and my all time favorite food growing up was Kung Pao chicken. I could never make it as good as the Chinese restaurants that I had around me. It was always a pale comparison, but I kept on trying. It wasn’t until Serious Eats published a couple of recipes about how to make it that I finally felt I could nail it down to the same level of Yum that I got from Chinese American takeout. I make it all the time now. But I do have to admit that when I am in a rush, I still like to make the Trader Joe’s frozen Kung Pao Chicken from the bag. I think they really nailed down the flavors.
Trader Joe’s BBQ Chicken Pizza Review – If feels like I’m doing a continuing series on products that have been in Trader Joe’s for many years, but somehow I never reviewed them. I think these fall into two categories, stuff I eat all the time, like Chicken Fried Rice and just never got around to a review. Then there are things I would never buy for myself of the family, and BBQ Chicken Pizza falls into this category.
Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice Review – I can’t believe how long I’ve been reviewing and I have never reviewed one of my favorite food items at Trader Joe’s! I have been buying this since I started shopping there almost 15 years ago. It’s so stupidly easy to make and tastes so good, I think everyone should have a couple in their freezer for a quick dinner or lunch.
